Mandy Stango - Administrative Vice President

Class: 2013
Concentration: English/Creative Writing/Theatre
Previous Mock Experience: I did Mock Trial for three years in high school, and this is my fourth year as a member of Penn State's Mock Trial Association.
Why I Joined Mock Trial?: I got my first taste of mocking in high school and I haven't been able to give it up since. Mock is the best combination of theatrics and strategy, which was the initial draw. But the better question is why I stayed. Competition is exhilarating, traveling is exciting, and the bonds I've formed with my teammates are unforgettable and so, so important to me. I've found my best friends and had some of my most amazing college experiences through this organization, and I'd never give up the lost sleep, four hour traffic jams, GPS nightmares, or shared hotel beds for anything less worthy.
Favorite Food: Genuine Italian food
Favorite Musical Act: Damien Rice
Favorite Movie: Dan in Real Life
Favorite TV Show: Storage Wars. Barry Weiss is the MAN.
Your Executive Board Position in Your Words: As Administrative Vice President, I'll be in charge of dealing with all on-campus issues. I'm your girl in charge of our Fall and Spring IM tournaments, as well as the Tournament Director for this year's 5th Annual Happy Valley Invitational. Additionally, given the vote of confidence, it will be my job to help compile the most competitive teams possible for our AMTA season.
Favorite Mock Trial Memory: It's totally impossible to choose one memory. But I think I can say my cumulative experiences as a member of Team Black Ice are some of my most memorable. Between running to Kinko's at midnight because we forgot case boxes, devouring an entire rotisserie chicken in five minutes, dubbing Super Mash Bros. the soundtrack to everything, brushing an endless stream of baby powder from my hair, and the "Cheap Bathroom Cup," song, Black Ice has been a rewarding, exciting, and hilarious experience. I will always remember it. ("OBJECTION...ALWAYS?!?")
Dream Job: If I was a best-selling author...yeah, life would be good.
