Christie Testa - Judging Coordinator

Class: 2015
Concentration: Finance, History & Italian
Previous Mock Experience: 1 year at PSU
Why I Joined Mock Trial?: The summer before my freshman year, I went to a 'send-off' at the lovely Ashley Tarriff's house, which is right near my home town. For the whole hour or so I was there, Ashley probably spent 75% of the time raving about Penn State Mock Trial. So, when I got to school, I decided I wanted to get involved in something right away and, despite never having done mock trial in high school, I decided I'd give it a chance. After the first meeting with my fall team, I was hooked.

Your Executive Board Position in Your Words: As Judging Coordinator, it's my responsiblity to select judges and ensure that we have enough judges for all of the trials that are held at Penn State. This includes both the Fall and Spring Intramural tournaments, as well as the Happy Valley Invitational, MTA trials, scrimmages, and any other tournament Penn State may hold.
Favorite Mock Trial Memory: At the Fordham Invitational, my team, following the lead of Graham Bickel, burst out in a chorus of "Lean on Me" right before the start of trial. It confused the opposing team like no other and was absolutely hilarious. Also, taking third place at that tournament was pretty awesome.
Dream Job: It changes all too often... Currently, U.S. Ambassador to Italy
